The Office of Fair Housing and Equity (FHE) is excited to be hosting a series of events we are calling "Picnics in the Park!" We will provide a tailored Fair Housing training that will not only cover the history and laws protecting fair housing, but specifically discuss the rights of Boston's LGBTQIA+ community to have equitable access to housing. Afterwards, participants will take proactive steps by canvassing the local area with posters that we will display in local businesses and bulletins. Of course, light lunch will be served because what is a picnic without some refreshments! We look forward to this informative and collaborative event.

Meet your neighbors, City of Boston employees, Boston Center for the Arts members, and SPARK Boston council members past or present at Boston Center for the Arts in their Mills Gallery. We'll have information about our next council cycle, voter registration forms, special guests, and more. The SPARK Boston Spring 2022 Council is pleased to continue our walking tours, a COVID-safe series of events exploring some of Boston's hidden gems. This month, we head to Charlestown to visit the historic Navy Yard. A National Park Ranger will be providing a guided tour of the site outdoors, so be sure to dress comfortably for a walk around parts of the 30-acre site. We'll also have information about the 2022-2023 SPARK Boston Council. Come discover (or re-discover) a new part of Boston with us!

Mayor Wu’s Neighborhood Coffee Hours are a unique opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor and staff from City departments about open space and their neighborhoods. Dunkin’ will be on-site to fuel the local community with freshly brewed Iced Coffee and assorted fan-favorite MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats. Dunkin’ will brew up even more fun with customized lawn games and gift card giveaways. Residents at each event will also be eligible to win a raffle prize from Dunkin’. In addition, each family in attendance will receive a free flowering plant provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, while supplies last.
