Demolition Delay Application: 77 Bigelow Street (Brighton)

The Boston Landmarks Commission (BLC) received a complete application to demolish the residential building at 77 Bigelow Street in Brighton. Staff has determined that this property is historically significant. 

The house at 77 Bigelow is a contributing building to the Bigelow Hill Neighborhood Area, which contains many different visually interesting homes of varying architectural styles built between 1858 and 1910 including Queen Anne, Italianate, Mansard Manors (single and double), Greek Revival and Federal.

We post each complete Demo Delay application of historically significant properties to provide the public with information about proposed demolitions as early as possible in the Article 85 process. BLC staff has 10 calendar days from receiving an application to make a determination about historical, architectural, cultural, or urban design significance.
