Women's Advancement Statement on Recent Roe v. Wade News
Read a statement from Alexandra Valdez, the Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of Women's Advancement, on the recent news related to the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade.
Our daughters, mothers, sisters, grandmothers voices will not be silenced. Women’s rights are human rights and we must fight to protect a woman's right to choose, we have to fight like our lives depend on it. I echo Mayor Wu’s statement, "This is a devastating moment for our country, when lives are being threatened by fringe minority determined to drag us back to decades of past."
Boston will lead. In the Mayor’s Office Women's Advancement, we will continue to protect reproductive rights for everyone. We will continue to serve as a safe space for all.

In solidarity,
Alexandra Valdez
