City Council meeting
The City Council is holding a meeting on December 1 at 12 p.m.
All Council Meetings are held at 12 p.m. (noon) in the Christopher A. Iannella Chamber on the fifth floor of Boston City Hall, unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public and are also available on Xfinity Channel 8, RCN 82, Fios 964, and livestream via City Council TV.

Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Hundred Six Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($106,575.00), in the form of a grant, for the FY22 DMH Co Response Grant, awarded by the MA Department of Mental Health to be administered by the Boston Police Department. The grant will fund a full time recovery coach/forensic peer specialist to assist Boston Police Department officers with Hub & Center of Responsibility meetings, citywide.

Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Federal FY21 Our Town grant awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts to be administered by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture. The grant will fund planning for the Little Saigon Cultural District in Dorchester.

Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Seventy Two Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($72,600.00) in the form of a grant for the FY2022 Jail/Arrest Diversion Grant, awarded by the MA Department of Mental Health to be administered by the Boston Police Department. The grant will fund overtime cost to backfill Crisis Intervention Training and other mental health training for officers.

The grant will fund the communities and families most affected by the public health and economic impact of COVID 19 pandemic, the expansion of the fare free transit program.
