Planning, Development and Transportation hearing on Dockets #0726,#0812-#0814

Docket #0726 – Message and order for your approval to declare surplus this City-owned former Commonwealth of Massachusetts parcel and transfer the care and custody, management and control of said property to the Public Facilities Commission located at: Melnea Cass Boulevard in the Roxbury District (Ward 09 Parcel 01968010).

Docket #0812 – Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($239,000.00) in the form of a grant for the 2021 Transportation Construction grant, awarded by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to be administered by the Transportation Department. The grant will fund the Lost Village Project in the Charlestown neighborhood.

Docket #0813 – Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) in the form of a grant for the 2021 Transportation Planning grant, awarded by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to by the Transportation Department. The grant will fund a portion of the design cost under the Tetra Tech contract for the Sullivan Square/Rutherford Avenue Project.

Docket #0814 – Message and order for your approval an Order authorizing the City of Boston Conservation Commission to receive a property located at Morrison Street (unnumbered) in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston and identified by the City of Boston Assessing Department parcel identification number 2005165000 ( the “Property”).

These matters are sponsored by the Mayor and were referred to the Committee on Planning, Development and Transportation on June 23, 2021.

NOTICE: The Boston City Council may have a quorum in attendance due to standing committees of the City Council consisting of both voting and non-voting members.  However, members attending this duly posted meeting are participating and deliberating only in conjunction with the business of the standing committee.

This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.
