City Council meeting

The City Council is holding a meeting on March 16 at 12 p.m.

All City Council meetings are held at 12 p.m. (noon) in the Christopher A. Iannella Chamber on the fifth floor of Boston City Hall, unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public and are also available on Xfinity Channel 8, RCN 82, Fios 964, and livestream via City Council TV.

  2. COMMUNICATIONS FROM HER HONOR, THE MAYOR:

    0375    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the 

        amount of Five Hundred Fifty Five Thousand One Hundred Sixty Six 

        Dollars and Forty Cents ($555,166.40) in the form of a grant, for the 

        Federal FY20 Assistance to Firefighters Grant, awarded by the Federal 

        Emergency Management Agency to be administered by the Fire 

        Department. The grant will fund safety training and fitness equipment to 

        support officer health and wellness.

        0376    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the 

        amount of Four Hundred Ninety Two Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Six 

        Dollars ($492,286.00) in the form of a grant, Accelerating Clean 

        Transportation For All, awarded by Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to 

        be administered by the Transportation Department. The grant will fund the 

        launch of an e cargo bike delivery pilot, which will include supporting local 

        businesses to join the program.

        0377    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the 

        amount of Thirty Eight Thousand Dollars and Sixteen Cents ($38,829.16) in 

        the form of a grant for the FY22 Firefighters Safety Equipment, awarded by 

        the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services to be administered by the 

        Fire Department. The grant will fund the purchase of rescue, safety and 

        exercise equipment.



        0378    Message and order to accept for the benefit of the City of Boston Police 

        Department, a donation of a Bicycle helmets from the  Boston Police 

        Foundation, valued at Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty Two 

        Dollars ($14,732.00) for the purpose of providing protective gear to the 

        Boston Police Department.

        listed in the report be submitted to Mayor Wu.
