0804    Message and order approving an appropriation of Twelve Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($12,600,000) from the City’s Capital Grant Fund in order to provide funding for various transportation and public realm improvements. These projects are aligned with the goals of the Go Boston 2030, the City’s transportation master plan. The funds shall be credited to the Capital Grant fund from the Parking Meter Fund.

0805    Message and order approving an appropriation of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) from the City’s Capital Grant fund to address the impact of transportation network services on municipal roads, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure or any other public purpose substantially related to the operation of transportation network services in the city. Such funds will be transferred and credited to the Capital Grant Fund from revenue received from the Commonwealth Transportation Infrastructure Enhancement Trust Fund.

0806    Message and order authorizing the appropriations of One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,300,000.00) from the income of the George Francis Parkman Fund. The funds are to be expended under the direction of the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation for the maintenance and improvement of Boston Common and Parks in existence since January 12, 1887.

0807    Message and order approving an appropriation of Four Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,400,000.00) from the 21st Century Fund, also known as the Public Educational, or Governmental (PEG) Access and Cable Related Fund, pursuant to Section 53F 3/4 of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, to the PEG Access and Cable Related Grant for cable related purposes consistent with the franchise agreement between the cable operator and the city including but not limited to: (i) supporting public, educational or governmental access cable television services; (ii) monitoring compliance of cable operator with the franchise agreement; or (iii) preparation of renewal of the franchise license.

0808    Message and order approving an appropriation of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) from the City’s Boston Equity Fund to create a special revenue project grant in order to support equity applicants and licensees, as defined by the Equity program, and to established and operate a cannabis business in the City of Boston. The fund shall be credited to the special Revenue Grant Fund from the Boston Equity Fund established pursuant City of Boston Ordinances Chapter 8 Section 13: Establishing the Equitable Regulation of the Cannabis Industry in the City of Boston.

0809    Message and order approving an appropriation order in the amount of Ninety-One Million Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($91,270,000.00) for the purpose of paying cost of designing, construction, equipping, and furnishing a new building for the William E. Carter School, that is to be built on the site of its current location at 396 Northampton Street in the City of Boston, including the payment of all cost incidental or related thereto, and for which the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”), said amount to be expended under the direction of the Public Facilities Department on behalf of Boston Public School.

0810    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Fifty- Five Million Dollars ($55,000,000,00) in the form of a grant, awarded by the United States Department of Treasury to be administered by the City of Boston’s Chief Financial Officer/Collector Treasurer. This grant payment is made from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CLFRF) in the Treasury of the United States established by Section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).

0811    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($480,000.00) in the form of a grant, awarded by BOSTON CHNA-CHIP COLLABORATIVE to be administered by the Office HHS. This grant will fund a city-wide Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) process.

0812    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($239,000.00) in the form of a grant for the 2021 Transportation Construction grant, awarded by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to be administered by the Transportation Department. The grant will fund the Lost Village Project in the Charlestown neighborhood.

0813    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) in the form of a grant for the 2021 Transportation Planning grant, awarded by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to by the Transportation Department. The grant will fund a portion of the design cost under the Tetra Tech contract for the Sullivan Square/Rutherford Avenue Project.
