    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Five Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($526,120.00) in the form of a grant, for the FFY21 Title III-E Caregiver Services, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the MA executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age-Strong Commission. The grant will fund sub-grant for caregiver services to seniors, and grandparents raising grandchildren.

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Nine Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Forty Dollars and Twenty-Five cents ($936,440.25) in the form of a grant, for the FFY21 Nutrition Service Incentive Program, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the MA executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age-Strong Commission. The grant will fund Incentives to serve more meals to elders.

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Nine Dollars and Twenty-Four cents ($489,609.24) in the form of a grant, for the FFY2022 State Allocations, awarded by the MA Executive Office of Elders Affairs, passed through the MA executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age-Strong Commission. The grant will fund the Elder Lunch Program in Boston. 

    These matters were referred to the Committee on May 5, 2021 and May 12, 2021.   

    NOTICE:  The Boston City Council may have a quorum in attendance due to standing committees of the City Council consisting of both voting and non-voting members.  However, members attending this duly posted meeting are participating and deliberating only in conjunction with the business of the standing committee.

    In accordance with Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 Executive Order modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the City Council will be conducting this hearing virtually. This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.  The public may watch this hearing via live stream at boston.gov/city-council-tv. It will also be re-broadcast at a later date on Xfinity 8/RCN 82/Fios 964.
