1272 Message and order for a supplemental appropriation Order for the Inspectional Services Department for FY25 in the amount of Forty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars ($45,682.00) to cover the FY25 cost items contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The terms of the contracts are July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026 and July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The major provisions of the contracts include a base wage increase of 2% to be give in October of each fiscal year of the contract term and flat amounts of $500, $250, $900, and $800 to be added to annual salaries in January of each fiscal year.

1274 Message and order for a supplemental appropriation Order for the Office of Tourism for FY25 in the amount of Twenty-Three Thousand Thirty-Two Dollars ($23,032.00) to cover the FY25 cost items contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Local 11. The terms of the contract are July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. The major provisions of the contract include base wage increases of 2%, to be given in July of 2026 and 2027 and flat amounts of $250, $900, and $800 to be added to annual salaries in January 2025, 2026, and 2027 after any percentage increases.

The grant will fund nutrition services for older adults in the City of Boston.

1277 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,800,000.00) in the form of a grant, for the Reconnecting Communities-Pilot Program, awarded by the United States Department of Transportation. The grant will fund the assessment of the feasibility of reconnecting the Chinatown neighborhood that was bisected by the construction of I-90.

1278 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Million Seven Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($1,736,520.00) in the form of a grant for the State FY25 Council on Aging formula allocation, awarded by the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant will fund social and health care services for 115,768 older adults in the City of Boston at $15 dollars per person, according to the 2020 Census data for UMass Boston Donahue Institute.

1279 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Million Thirty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Three Dollars ($1,038,243.00) in the form of a grant, for the Federal FY25 Title lll-B Supportive Services, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant will fund home-based support services for older adults in the City of Boston.

1280 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Five Hundred Thirty Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($530,999.00) in the form of a grant, for the Federal FY25 Title III-E Family Caregiver Support Program, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant will fund Caregivers Services for older Adults in the City of Boston.

1281 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Hundred Sixty-One Thousand One Hundred Forty-Three Dollars ($461,143.00) in the form of a grant, for the Federal FY25 Title III-A Administration grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant will fund costs for the administration of Title III programs.

1282 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Hundred Fifty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($456,500.00) in the form of a grant, for FY25 MVP Action Grant, awarded by the Executive Office of Energy & Environment Affairs to be administered by the Environment Department. The grant will fund the permit submittals for the project in FY26, with a goal of completing the MEPA permitting process and submitting permits to other applicable Local, State and Federal permitting agencies.

The grant will fund consumer protection programs to improve long-term services for older adults in the City of Boston.

The grant will fund services that assist older adults in Boston to prevent illness and manage chronic conditions.
