Congratulations on your new park! Codman Square Park reopened with a ribbon cutting celebration on September 19, 2025.

Project Details: We compiled community input through a series of community engagement events, conversations with neighbors at Farmers Markets, and on-the-ground site assessments. The design team then finalized a site plan that supported the key program elements desired by the community.

The renovated park enhances the social character of the space by improving circulation and event spaces for the park's current functions and community uses. The new design also features art that celebrates the cultures of the local neighborhood.

The construction budget was $1 million.

Codman Square Park received special funding from:

The site now features green stormwater infrastructure and climate resilient cooling misting towers!
