The site is formerly the Gardner Street Landfill. It has been reclaimed as a park using soil excavated from the Big Dig. Current park features include:

  • a playground
  • soccer fields
  • walking loops, and
  • a canoe launch.

The upcoming renovation will focus on the playground, pathways, and a restroom planning study. The construction budget is $3,225,000.
