Foreclosure Prevention and Intervention

The Boston Home Center offers free foreclosure prevention and intervention counseling and home preservation services. Our services are free and confidential.

If you are having difficulties making your mortgage and housing expenses, call us at 617-635-4663. We provide free and confidential counseling and provide assistance with:

  • working with lenders on loan modifications to help resolve mortgage delinquencies

  • tax title issues

  • budget and financial management counseling to help offset other housing expenses

  • applying for state resources. These include Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) and Emergency Rent and Mortgage Assistance (ERMA). You can learn more about both programs on the state's website.

The foreclosure prevention and intervention program is for those who live in the 1-4 unit home they own. Don’t pay someone for these services. We can provide them for free.
